Delete your CholoMama account
How to permanently delete your CholoMama account and data — from the app or by request — and what happens after.

This page explains how to delete your CholoMama account, what data is removed, what we are required to keep, and how long the process takes. Deleting your account is permanent — once it is completed it cannot be undone. CholoMama is operated by CholoMama (www.cholomama.com); requests apply to the account you registered on our website and mobile app.
Before you delete
- Use or cancel any upcoming tickets first — deleting your account does not automatically cancel a booked trip.
- Make sure any pending refund has been received; refunds are paid to your original payment method and may take a few business days.
- Download or screenshot any tickets or invoices you may need later — you will lose access to your booking history.
Option 1 — Delete from the CholoMama app
- Open the CholoMama app and sign in.
- Open the menu (tap your profile name / the menu icon).
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the request. You'll receive a confirmation that your account is scheduled for deletion.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, email support@cholomama.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and the mobile number registered to your account. We'll verify your identity before processing the request to protect your account.
What gets deleted
When your request is completed, we permanently delete the personal data linked to your account, including:
- Your profile — name, email address and mobile number.
- Saved passengers and travel preferences.
- Your booking history and stored e-tickets.
- Saved settings, language preference and marketing/communication consents.
What we keep, and why
Some records cannot be deleted immediately because we are legally required to keep them. These are retained only for as long as the law allows and are not used to contact you:
- Transaction & invoice records — kept to meet tax, accounting and financial-audit obligations under applicable Bangladesh law.
- Fraud, security and dispute records — kept where needed to prevent abuse or resolve a chargeback/legal claim.
- Anonymised, aggregated data — statistics that can no longer identify you may be retained.
Where records are retained, payment-card and wallet credentials are never stored by CholoMama — those are handled by our payment partners (such as SSLCommerz, bKash and Nagad).
How long it takes
- We acknowledge your request within 48 hours.
- Your account is deactivated right away so it can no longer be used to log in or book.
- Personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except for the limited records described above.
- Changed your mind? Contact us within 7 days of your request and we can stop the deletion. After permanent deletion, recovery is not possible.
After deletion
Once deletion is complete, your account and its data are gone and cannot be restored. You're always welcome back — you can sign up again any time, but it will be a fresh account with no previous history.
